A multicultural, changeling-populated city near the Troll Mountains, destroyed in episode 4 when the Dyson Dynamo mirrored the party’s own fire spell across the whole city — roughly 90% mortality. An inner Capitol district survived under a magical “blue dome.”
History
- Site of the doppelganger caravan ambush that triggers the Dynamo’s citywide firestorm 2023-10-15 @ 00:56:37–01:42:41.
- Confirmed roughly 90% mortality; only the party and the capital’s defenders under the blue dome survive @ 01:42:41–01:42:50, @ 02:06:44–02:06:49.
- The party watches it burn from the walls the morning after, then flees with the refugee column toward Lutathal 2023-10-24 @ 00:12:40–00:29:12.
- Rugby’s Roaming Gazette, dated DEC 19 4885 (before the destruction, which it never anticipates), gives it a fuller geography — “Godoy City, Acatlalco, Western Territories” — and reports a critical guard shortage caused by an overly strict vetting process, with Captain Cadillac Huggins (see Cadillac) and Captain Darian Steele named as the city’s dedicated protectors. Local businesses “Sycophancy Scrolls” and “Ram & The Fence,” both in the Town Square, advertise in the same issue 2023-09-24.
Unresolved
May be the same city as Lidurithal (episodes 1–2) — both sit near the Troll Mountains and both center on the same bank — but no session states this explicitly.
The Gazette’s “Acatlalco” region name for Godoy echoes the “Acatlalco mountain ranges in Squiyles” named in the 2019-06-10 issue, centuries (at least) earlier in-world and on a vastly different scale (a mountain range vs. a city’s administrative region). Recorded as a naming echo only — not asserted to be the same place. See Acatlalco.
