Jess’s witch, owner of a ferret familiar (Enfield) and later of the folding boat “Nessie”; revealed in session 5 to be a changeling rather than human. Never given a real character name on mic.
History
- Introduced as a witch with a ferret familiar, Enfield; a whimsy-table roll gives her a folding boat, and a separate roll turns her into a weasel for the session 2023-09-12 @ 01:57:49, @ 02:20:35.
- Casts Deep Slumber, putting enemies to sleep; jokingly nicknamed “Volvo Morton” by Pat (a pun on her Discord handle); logs off mid-combat, tired, needing to be up for work at dawn 2023-10-01 @ 01:03:33, @ 01:04:53, @ 03:26:10.
- Rolls a 30 (not a natural 20, despite Jake’s assumption) identifying the drained soul device as plane-crossing; names her folding boat “Nessie” and summons it in its full ship form (cabin, holds 15); revealed as a changeling 2023-10-24 @ 00:21:49–00:22:07, @ 00:43:45–00:44:41, @ 00:46:17.
- Curses carpet-maker Greg to compulsively count every board in his shop after a sponsorship deal collapses 2023-10-24 @ 03:15:01–03:18:00.
- Not listed in the session 6 party.
Unresolved
Her character’s real name is never given; “Volvo Morton” is a joke nickname, not a stated in-fiction name. Across all three sessions she appears in, both Jake (DM) and the other players address her exclusively as “Jess” — her real name — even in clearly in-character lines, including the scene where she explicitly identifies as a changeling rather than human 2023-10-24 @ 00:46:09–00:46:17. No distinct in-fiction name was ever used as an alternative.
