Church of St. Cuthbert burns!

DRAGONS

The church of St. Cuthbert burns down to the ground in Holsoy this week.

This is yet another church subjected to what now seems like targeted attacks by the dragons.

We reached out to Corbin Strange, an exotic monsters and animals expert who works with the gazette.

“Dragons live a long time and think long term, they hold grudges that far outlive those that caused them.”

“I have a feeling these churches are paying for crimes they don’t even remember they commited”

“It’s also very strange for dragons to work together, they are normally very solitary creatures.”

Crazy as it is folks, be careful going to church these days! As you could end up meeting your maker a little quicker than anticipated!

Reports of trolls leaving mountainous areas Tensions are high in the high seas!

TROLLS SIGHTED

Trolls spotted moving in droves from out of the Acatlalco mountain ranges in Squiyles this week. Independent reports from trappers and hunters residing in the countries of both Totezatlan and Somic.

What does this mean? The king of Squiyles has made no public statement as to this bizarre behavior of the mountain trolls.

The movement of the large groups is slow, but it is steady. Local farmers at the foothills of the mountains are growing fearsome of the news. Many have sought preemptive aid from the government. No statements have been released regarding these manners. Independent evacuation plans have been made by the locals impacted most by this.

Rugby’s has its ear close to the ground folks!

STAND OFF

The Kingdoms of Binneth and Squiyles stand off in the gulf as naval troops gather. One shot is all it takes to trigger an all out war, and no side looks like it’s going to back down.

After the Kingdom of Squiyles instituted the draft, Military numbers have been climbing fast! But there are reports of Binneth hiring seafaring mercenaries to increase its naval force. Also reports of a supposed “secret-weapon” have surfaced, what could it be? Trained sharks? Magic cannons? Exploding ammo? Rugby’s Gazette is on the case as always folks! We will keep you updated as this naval standoff continues!

Dragon-hunting Paladins attacked and robbed in Thorhofn

MARITIME THEFT

It was just your typical day on the docks when a group of people boarded and stole one of the church of St. Cuthberts vessels this week.

“They fucking blinded me!” Said Worick Dragon-bane, one of the members of the holy group.

“The took our fucking boat while I was napping on it”

“and they FUCKING BLINDED ME”

A chase pursued shortly thereafter, where they found him dropped off on the island of Torta. The same island where the dragons attacks seem to have started.

Their ship had been set ablaze and scuttled near the shore. The pirates were nowhere to be found.

“I plan on finding those vile pirates, nobody messes with the church of St. Cuthbert and gets away with it. Fortunately our watchmen was left alive and saw one of them, a samurai. We can hire mages to divine his location now.

ORCS DEMAND PRISONER

Gorthak demands return of hostage taken in by Binneth Authorities

RETURN ZAKME’D

The demands are in. Garthok has killed an entire Binneth scouting party except one member who was badly mutilated with a message carved into his back. The young military scout was sent home to ‘tell of what he saw” and “Deliver the message to your masters” He made it all the way back to Beisfjord city yesterday before collapsing.

The message carved into the young scouts back read as follows:

RETURN ZAKME’D OR THE DARKNESS WILL FALL ON YOU AS WELL

The young man died shortly thereafter by an infection reaching his bloodstream due to untreated wounds. However he did manage to relay some critical information regarding troops and amounts and kinds of warriors in Gorthaks army.

No statement has been released by the king.
