- Found hidden under the mattress in Strahd’s personal chamber; identified by Xarthax via Knowledge (History) as a dangerous, sought-after artifact. Xarthax reads the (safe) early pages 2022-12-18 @ 02:09:47–02:17:02.
- Its missing, torn-out pages are flagged by Xarthax as valuable/dangerous and worth hunting down — never pursued in the recorded sessions 2022-12-18 @ 02:41:23–02:41:54.
- Stolen from the party (last carried by Donnie/Donovan) when an earlier, less lethal group of ghosts captures and ages the party instead of killing them 2023-03-18 @ 00:34:16–00:35:05.

The book is never recovered after being stolen by the ghosts; its torn-out pages are never found or explained.
