SPACE PROGRAM
Astronomers look to science for answers
With advances in oxygen recycling magic. Gnomish Fire propulsion and advances in tin smithing. The kingdom of Turgythe has announced yesterday that they plan to begin the world’s first space program.
That is, a program dedicated to exploring the space between the world as we know it and the heavens occupied by the gods themselves.
The program is being funded by the royal treasury, under the Science and Alchemy research act of 4870. Initiated as a way to drive forward technological and magical pursuits.
“It is something discussed in fairy tales, we plan to make it a reality, to go out there and really see it all for ourselves” Says Dr. Joanne Hingbrant, Lead researcher on the project.
There have been stories of cosmic monsters and treasures. Those involved plan to go where no humanoid has gone before.
SQUIYLES WIZARDS JOIN FIGHT
NO FOOD
Food supply disrupted
With much of the country of Squiyles at war, and most of the male population drafted. Agricultural production for the kingdom has slowed to a crawl.
That coupled with the Orcs occupying much of the farmland to the east. And the trolls ripping through the farms in central Squiyles, means the kingdom is relying on reserves.
Many have begun to starve in their own homes, revolt is a hot topic, but one resting on the minds of the many.
With so many mouths to feed and resources drying up, the whole kingdom lays on a tipping point.
Something must be done, sooner rather than later.
Resolution must come soon or the cost of victory could be the kingdom itself.
GREAT BALLS OF FIRE
Newly arrived on the scene
Fireball after fireball, being heaved by spellslingers, as Squiyles army of special wizard forces takes to the skies!
Folks it’s a sight to behold! Maybe the battle took a turn for the worst last week, but we haven’t seen the last of tricks up King Stroths sleeves!
The night was lit up with magical flames, as ship after ship was burnt to the ground. Binneth’s navy still outnumbers Squiylian ships however with another day’s rest the wizard special forces will surely be at it again to clean up the leftovers!

WALL OF WONDERS
Rainbow color rift opens in town square!
In the small pown of Bringska, Hawkthorne. A rip in reality opened up in the form of a strange colorful wall.
At first those around were scared of this strange phenomenon. But then something happened…
A boy jumped through. Upon exiting the wall he had gained telekinetic powers! Another went through and his pockets began overflowing with jewels and gems!
More and more people of the town began jumping through. It was only after a few jumps they realized not all the gifts the wall bestowed were great.
Someone’s hair all fell out, another began laughing hysterically and uncontrollably. The people began to fear the wall. The last man to enter was pulled through the ground screaming never to be seen again.
The authorities are sealing off the wall in stone and are not allowing anyone else to enter.
IMMORTALITY FAILURE
Thousands watch as Grandmaster Wizard Kirby tears himself apart
CATASTROPHIC FAILURE
During the immortality Lecture 3 days ago at the Novaexum Lecture hall in Novaexum City. Grandmaster wizard Kirby was demonstrating a theoretical spell stacking technique that could render the caster immortal. Members of the audience gathered to see the spectacle of wizarding prowess.
However, disaster struck when Kirby lost control of the spell and compound magical mishaps shattered through him exploding the multiple magical focusing mirrors and astral lenses he was using to amplify his spellwork.
Multiple versions of himself ripped through the mirrors and slammed into him with explosions of blinding light.
Numerous beams of light cascaded from his body and shot in every direction.
There has been no sight of him since.
